Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ivy-F, including ivy-f.app and ivy-f.net (the "Services"), operated by Ivy-F ("we", "us"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Educational use only — not financial advice. Ivy-F is a learning and planning tool. Projections, estimates, the assistant ("Billie"), and the trading simulator are for education only and do not constitute financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. The trading simulator uses simulated money — no real funds, securities, or crypto are traded. Always do your own research and consult a licensed professional before making financial decisions.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. We may ask under-18 users for a parent or guardian's email to obtain that consent, and may limit accounts until it is given.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from the app's settings or by contacting us.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Ivy-F offers paid plans (e.g., Pro/Select). Prices and features are shown before purchase.
Purchases made in the mobile apps are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms; web purchases are processed by Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel through the store you purchased from (or your account settings for web purchases).
Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by: breaking the law; infringing others' rights; attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Services; scraping or overloading the systems; or uploading harmful or unlawful content.

5. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, and content (excluding your own data), are owned by Ivy-F and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of the data you enter.

6. Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties (e.g., Google, Stripe, PostHog, hosting and AI providers) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

This product includes GeoLite2 Data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com. IP-based location estimates are approximate and used to display device login regions and local context.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of estimates or projections. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ivy-F will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from financial decisions you make using the Services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Services or other users.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa located in the Western Cape, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
